Collaborators & roles

Invite teammates and control what each can do.

Invite teammates to a project and give each the least access they need. Roles are set per project.

Invite a collaborator

    Open the Collaborators tab

    Enter a teammate’s email and pick a role. Only owners and admins can manage collaborators.

    Send the invite

    They don’t need an account — we email them a link to join, and they can sign up from it.

    Wait for them to accept

    They show as Pending until they do. You can resend or withdraw an invitation any time; links expire after 14 days.

What each role can do

Roles

  • Viewer — read-only access to the project.
  • Data viewer — read-only, and can see and export collected data.
  • Editor — can edit experiments and the flow.
  • Admin — full control, including funding, publishing and managing collaborators.
Only the project owner can grant the Admin role, because admins can spend study funds. A student owning a project can invite their PI as Admin to fund it.
